 Ontario Police have recently released statements and a video reminding drivers that they are still required to get their license plates renewed every one to two years, most commonly before the driver’s birthday. You are no longer required to pay the annual $120 fee to renew your plates, but any drivers who refrain from renewing their plates can be fined $110 - $500 under the Highway Traffic Act.
