Welland, Ontario, October 2, 2026 – Youngs Insurance Brokers Inc. is proud to announce a $35,000 donation to Hospice Niagara following the Fifth Annual Patty Valleriani Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, held at Lookout Point Country Club.
This year’s contribution marks the tournament’s largest donation to Hospice Niagara to date and includes a generous $10,000 donation from Gore Mutual, helping Youngs Insurance Brokers increase the impact of this year’s event.
Now in its fifth year, the annual tournament was created in memory of Patty Valleriani and continues to celebrate the compassion, generosity and commitment to community that defined her life. Bringing together insurance industry partners, local businesses, employees, and friends, the tournament has grown into an important part of Youngs Insurance Brokers’ ongoing #GiveBackOntario initiative.
“Five years into this tournament, it means so much to our family to see Patty’s memory continue to bring people together for such an important cause,” said Jason Valleriani, CEO of Youngs Insurance Brokers. “My mom believed deeply in caring for people and supporting the community around her. Hospice Niagara reflects those same values through the compassion and dignity they provide to people and families when they need it most.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support this tournament year after year, and to Gore Mutual for their generous $10,000 contribution toward this year’s donation. Raising $35,000 for Hospice Niagara is something our entire team is extremely proud of, and it would not be possible without the sponsors, golfers, volunteers and community partners who continue to show up for this event.”
Funds from this year’s tournament will support Hospice Niagara as it continues to expand access to hospice palliative care throughout the Niagara region.
Hospice Niagara has provided compassionate hospice palliative care and grief support to Niagara residents and their families for more than 30 years. In addition to The Stabler Centre in St. Catharines, Walker House opened in Welland in 2025, adding 10 hospice suites for residents in the southern Niagara region. Willson House in Fort Erie is expected to open in early 2027, further expanding access to care closer to home for individuals and families across Niagara.
“We are incredibly grateful to Youngs Insurance Brokers, Gore Mutual, and everyone who helped make this year’s tournament such a success,” said Carol Nagy, Executive Director of Hospice Niagara. “The generosity of our community helps ensure people and families across Niagara can turn to Hospice Niagara for care, comfort, and support whenever they need it. Our programs and services are provided free of charge, and support like this makes that possible.”
Through the Patty Valleriani Memorial Charity Golf Tournament and the broader #GiveBackOntario initiative, Youngs Insurance Brokers remains committed to supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the communities it has served for more than 115 years.
