This event is a marathon rock-a-thon in which teams rock in rocking chairs, socialize and have fun! All the proceeds from this event will be used to purchase necessary equipment that the residents require to ensure a great quality of life.
About Fonds Foyer Richelieu Welland
Foyer Richelieu is the only bilingual long-term care home in Southern Ontario. People living with dementia often revert to their mother tongue and the staff at Foyer Richelieu ensures the residents can communicate with other residents, caregivers, and medical staff, as well as volunteers and visitors.
This event is being held on Friday, May 24th at 655 Tanguay Avenue in Welland with opening ceremonies at 11:00 a.m. The day will include the rock-a-thon, a French dance performance and the sale of poutine from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
