Are you at the point where you’re not sure your car will start in the morning? If so, it could be your car’s battery causing a problem and we’ll explain why.
Certain signs your car gives you to tell you it’s time to make a change.
As drivers, whenever we feel there is something wrong with our car, we gravitate to it being a battery problem. Unfortunately, that is not always the case, a battery symptom can lead to unnecessary purchases if not looked at properly.
The value of an AVR (alternator voltage regulator) test.
To rule out if you are experiencing battery troubles, you will want to look into doing an AVR test. This test monitors your battery results and provides a diagnosis and could rule out it being a battery problem.
If your battery is non-responsive all together, this could be due to an internal fault or lack of recharging power. An easy way to detect if this is the case is to restart the car with a boost. If the engine light comes on or your engine stalls it is due to lack of power to the battery.
Protecting your car’s battery.
Getting an AVR test will help you assess the issue and make a decision. The last thing you want to do is overcharge your car’s battery, as it can cause the car to overheat resulting in extreme engine problems.
