The Terry Fox Run has been a Youngs Insurance tradition since 2004. Like many Canadians, we are inspired by Terry’s perseverance and dedication to providing a platform for cancer research and awareness. We invite YOU to get involved and participate in the Terry Fox Run with us.
The Terry Fox Legacy
In 1980, Terry embarked on a journey that inspired millions; his Marathon of Hope. With only one leg Terry began his cross-Canada 5,373-km marathon, with the sole goal of raising money and awareness for cancer research. Since then more than $700-million has been raised in his name, funding the most promising and innovative cancer research in Canada.
Every year, millions of people participate in Terry Fox Runs throughout 60 different countries. Participants can run, walk, blade or bike and most of all, have fun while raising funds for cancer research.
Our Commitment
Our staff has participated in the Terry Fox Run since 2004 and together we have raised over $23,000 for this remarkable foundation. The Terry Fox Run has become a tradition that we value and support each year, in
Terry’s dream of finding a cure for cancer is something we can all relate to and we are proud to know that the fundraising we do is contributing to this vital research.
