What happens if my car is broken into and my personal property is stolen?
If your car is broken into, your auto insurance policy will only cover the damage sustained to your car. If any personal items (i.e. laptop, iPad/iPhone, etc.) are stolen, they are covered by your home insurance policy (should you have one).
