Key Responsibilities
-Review commercial submissions for accuracy and completeness
-Underwrite submissions from Account Executives and request additional information as needed
-Assess customer needs, explain products and coverages, and provide clear recommendations to Account Executives
-Enter submissions into Policy Works and distribute them to market
-Negotiate terms and coverages with insurers
-Prepare and issue commercial proposals and binders
-Build and maintain strong insurer relationships
-Quote small business accounts using company portals
-Collaborate effectively with Account Executives and affiliate offices
Knowledge & Qualifications
-Valid RIBO License in good standing
-Additional industry designations (CAIB, CIP, CRIM) considered an asset
-Working knowledge of specialty insurance products is an asset
-Experience with SIG XP and Policy Works is preferred
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
-High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
-Excellent negotiation abilities
-Commitment to contributing positively to a team-driven culture
