In this role, you will act as a key liaison between clients, insurers, and internal teams to ensure claims are reported accurately, followed up efficiently, and resolved with a high level of service. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with reporting new auto, property and liability claims.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients, insurers, adjusters, and restoration vendors.
- Ensure claims are submitted accurately and in a timely matter.
- Analyze policy coverage, review documentation, and assess damages.
- Determine claim validity and coverage eligibility.
- Monitor claim progress and follow-up with insurers and adjusters as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate claim files and documentation in the brokerage management system.
- Provide regular claim status updates to clients and internal team.
- Support claims advocacy by escalating concerns and helping resolve coverage or service issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex claims and mitigate risks.
- Maintain relationships with restoration partners and company adjusters.
- Monitor and respond to emergency after-hours claim inquiries from customers.
- Assist with claims-related reporting and audit of severe loss reserves.
- Adhere to RIBO, insurer, and brokerage compliance standards.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- RIBO license is required - Registered Insurance Broker Ontario
- 1-3 years of experience in insurance brokerage or company environment
- CIP Designation or currently in process of completing - Charted Insurance Professional
- CRM Certificate is an asset - Risk Management Certificate
- Strong knowledge of insurance policy wordings, coverage and claim handling procedures.
- Client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
