We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our Human Resources team in our Niagara Falls location, as a Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator should be a self-motivated and hard-working individual who works well independently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will manage a variety of objectives and duties, including the following:

  • Responds to human resources-related inquiries and requests
  • Assists with the identification, selection and interviewing of candidates, including job postings and resume sourcing
  • Supports the onboarding of new employees, including entering data into human resources information system
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Management team by generating reports, completing Human Resources related projects and generating data
  • Supports workplace investigations and disciplinary-related issues
  • Ensures legal compliance with human resources policies and procedures, making updates as necessary
  • Works with managers to create and implement training opportunities for employees
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources

Knowledge & Qualifications:

    •  Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
    • 1-2 years previous experience working in human resources
    •  Sound knowledge of human resources management fundamentals, principles, and concepts
    •  Strong understanding of Ontario employment law, including but not limited to the Employment Standards Act, 2000, Human Rights Code, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    •  Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
    • Above-average interpersonal and relationship skills
    • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation an asset or working towards a designation
