Welland, Ontario, Nov 10, 2022 - Youngs Insurance Brokers Inc. proudly announced today that it has made a $30,000 donation towards its $100,000 commitment to the McMaster Children's Hospital Foundation. Youngs Insurance Brokers has been supporting and working with the McMaster Children's Hospital Foundation since 2019. The donation was made possible through funds raised during the First Annual Patty Valleriani Memorial Charity Golf Tournament that Youngs Insurance Brokers hosted at Lookout Point Country Club on August 222, 2022. All funds raised will go towards the Pediatric Oncology Clinic renovation and expansion project.

The clinical specialist team at McMaster Children’s Hospital supports our region’s children and their families through the physical and emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment. To enhance the patient experience, McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation is fundraising to renovate and expand the third-floor pediatric oncology clinic. As part of the renovation, the clinical spaces will be redeveloped to include distinct areas tailored to different age groups and an in-house Pharmacy Satellite Chemotherapy Suite.

This year's golf tournament had special significance, as the previous Youngs Insurance Brokers Annual Charity Golf Tournament was rebranded as the Annual Patty Valleriani Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, in honour of Patty Valleriani, the wife of Youngs Insurance Brokers President, Sandy Valleriani, who tragically passed away in 2019. Patty loved to bring people together, planning and participating in several charitable events with Youngs Insurance Brokers #GiveBack Ontario initiative. Patty’s commitment to giving back to her community will live on through the tournament and continued #GiveBackOntario sponsorships and donations.
