Position

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our commercial marketing team in our Niagara Falls location, as a Commercial Insurance Marketer. The Commercial Marketer should be self-motivated and hard working who works well independently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will manage a variety of objectives and duties, including the following:

  • Review commercial submissions for accuracy and completeness
  • Underwrite submissions received from Account Executives and request any additional information required in order to accurately market the account
  • Identify customers’ needs, explain products and coverage’s, make recommendations and ensure important information is understood by Account Executives
  • Enter submissions into Policy Work & send out to market
  • Negotiating terms & coverages with markets
  • Issue commercial proposals and binders
  • Insurer relationship/development
  • Quoting small business on company portals
  • Ability to work with the account executives and our affiliate offices

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • RIBO License in good standing
  • Other industry qualifications considered an asset (CAIB, CIP, CRIM)
  • Some knowledge of specialty insurance products would be an asset
  • Experience using SIG XP and Policyworks considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizations and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to time sensitive deadlines
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Commitment to a positive team dynamic
