My daughter Peyton, 10, has been a Mac Kid since the day she was born. Peyton was born with a cleft palate and as a result has undergone numerous surgeries. Without the support from numerous doctors and support staff Peyton would not be the thriving girl she is today. There was a time when we didn’t know if she would ever speak and not once did one of her doctors or therapists give up on her. We now look for ways to get her to stop talking (but we wouldn’t change it for the world!)
Team members, from Surgeons to Child Life Specialists, have a way of putting both parents and kids at ease at what can be a very stressful time. The professionalism and the way they can deal with each unique situation speaks to their dedication and character.
All 4 winning charities will be announced on our 108th Birthday, May 10th 2018!
